🎧 How to make an AI music video

Indie artists no longer need a director, a crew or a budget. A track and a smart prompt list is enough to ship a full music video in a weekend.

Break the track into beats

Listen once and mark every hook, drop and lyrical moment. Each beat becomes a 3–10 second shot. A three-minute track usually needs 15–25 shots total.

Build a shot list first

Write ONE line per shot: subject, camera, mood. This is your storyboard. Skipping this step is why beginner AI music videos feel random.

Draft cheap, hero expensive

Generate every shot first on Kling 2.5 Fast or Seedance 2.0. Keep the winners, then re-render only those on Veo 3.1 or Sora 2 for the hero moments.

Cut to the beat, colour last

Import into any timeline editor, cut on the beat, then run a single colour grade across the whole cut. Colour cohesion is what makes an AI video look intentional instead of collaged.
